Keypad from DMP Gets OK from UL
Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) announced Tuesday that their (normally) cool blue Clear Touch keypad has gained approval from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for use with DMP alarm panels. The following is an excerpt from DMP's official release:
Digital Monitoring Products, DMP, model 7760 Clear Touch™ keypad has met UL safety standards to earn the laboratory’s mark of approval.
The Clear Touch keypad for residential and commercial installations is one of the most significant user interface innovations since the keyswitch. Its striking clear face adds a touch of sophistication to any décor.
Featuring audible and visual alarm notification, its cool blue light turns red in alarm conditions.
Clear Touch maintains DMP’s thirty-year tradition of backwards compatibility with every DMP panel in the field, making it the perfect premium upsell or upgrade.
A simple User Options menu adjusts brightness, speaker tone and volume. Clear Touch also provides distinct sound patterns for fire, burglary, zone monitor and prewarn so users can audibly identify events.
Clear Touch time-saving options let installers and service technicians test keypad operation without disabling the system. The diagnostics program tests LCD segments, backlighting, and each of the 15 keyboard keys.
