Integral Announces Integration with IPIX CommandView IP Cameras
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA - Integral Technologies has teamed with IPIX Security of Oak Ridge, Tennessee to integrate IPIX's 360 degree field-of-view cameras with an upcoming release of DigitalSENTRY software used in both DS Enterprise and DS XPress systems.
DS Enterprise and DS XPress Digital Video Management Systems are complete surveillance systems accommodating a virtually unlimited number of cameras in multiple networked locations. Both products are combination database servers and video acquisition units capable of up to 480 images per second in NTSC with up to 128 camera inputs per VAU.
360 degree full view images will be able to be viewed in live and recorded video directly from the DigitalSENTRY interface. Since the camera lens is always viewing and recording the entire 360 degree image, blind spots are eliminated; and more importantly, 360 degree virtual PTZ functionality is enabled. Operators can pan, tilt and zoom through the entire 360 degree image in live mode while maintaining full PTZ in recorded video as well. Additionally, the operator can place multiple views of the same 360 degree image on the screen using PTZ type functionality on each view separately. A single 360 degree CommandViewtm IP camera on a DigitalSENTRY system can be divided into multiple views, acting like a group of separate cameras.
IPIX cameras were used at the recent G8 Summit held at Sea Island, Georgia in June. This event was classified as a National Special Security Event (NSSE) by President Bush. In addition, IPIX's cameras recently took home the Security Industry Association's "Product Achievement Award in Digital Video" during the New Product Showcase at ISC West.
"IPIX Security is proud that Integral Technologies has chosen to integrate IPIX 'See Everything' technology into their DigitalSENTRY systems," remarks Bob Gitre, Director Business Development. "We are excited to provide Integral's customers with the groundbreaking ability to pan and tilt 360-degree live and recorded video."
"Integral Technologies has been a pioneer and industry leader in the digital video industry for nearly a decade with our powerful yet easy to use Digital Video Management Systems," notes Mark Lampe, Director of Product Management. "It follows that Integral would be one of the first companies to fully integrate the IPIX technology offering seamless access to 360 degree vision. With this combined functionality we offer a brand new way to view video."
