History
Intertech Security was founded in 2000 by Chris Wetzel, our executive vice president, and a business partner. With extensive experience in the electronic security industry, their mission was to design, install and maintain the best systems for their clients. In three short years, the company’s sales reached $4 million with a growing list of satisfied enterprise customers.
In 2005, with a focus on growth and stability, Intertech merged with two providers of commercial and residential security systems and monitoring facilities owned by Petnuch Partners, LP. A new management team was formed with Ron Petnuch as President and CEO, Chris Wetzel as COO and leadership with strong IT, marketing and security experience. The new team positioned the company for significant growth.
By the end of 2006, revenues had grown to $18.5 million with 110 employees. In 2007, Intertech expanded to Maryland and Florida, and was ranked the 41st largest U.S. security integration company by SDM Magazine. Today, Intertech Security continues to grow faster than the market as our vision and capabilities continue to evolve.
